What can I say...? Smile

Thanks for noticing. First Ddeubel calls me "a philospher-king" and now you call me this. I want to frame these things for my office. Cool

How can you say things in other threads like, "we should worship the state like a god", and then end up any where near the lower left quadrant. You are a wonder.

How the heck did you get that? I tried putting in the most left wing answers I could and only got -8.88 and -8.67.

I was able to get 8.88 and 8.62 on the right side.

Ah, that is because you are a mere pretender, and not a true communitarian hippie Maoist.

Actually, I was a little surprised at the result myself, as I do agree with a certain amount of regulation by the government, and although I have a great distrust of the rampant unfettered irresponsible 'freemarketeering' so fashionable in the daily editorials of the corporate press, neither am I a fan of the centralised state planned economies of (so called) communist countries of yore. I'm more in favour of the mixed economies practiced in Western Europe. So a little surprised to see myself so enconsed in the communist camp.

I suspect the test was devised by rabid foaming-at-the-mouth neo-cons who just wanted to discredit anyone with even mild left leanings, as wanton sexually permissive neo-trotskyites, revelling in unbridled anarchy, depravity and lawlessness!

She said she believes in Astrology.

Cuz you know this is an essential factor in determining where one stands politically.

Yes, I was a bit puzzled by that one! What the hell was a question like that doing there?

For the record, I don't believe one iota in Astrology...except of course when it starts banging on about us Geminis being such witty charming attractive and clever people...! Then I become a little agnostic...

You know, it has been a year that I've been using that phrase and other allusions such as "get back into your hole" etc...... You still haven't caught on and now even boast of this title. So I'll let the cat out of the bag and send you back to read your Plato. I was of course referring to the allegory of the cave. And you my friend, see shadows on walls and take them for what is real.

Quote:
And if he is compelled to look straight at the light, will he not have a pain in his eyes which will make him turn away to take refuge in the objects of vision which he can see, and which he will conceive to be in reality clearer than the things which are now being shown to him?

A philosopher king does not parade himself as a "warrior", this is far from wisdom . A philosopher king realizes that knowledge/understanding is within and not out there in the shadows. I would also suggest that you read about Plato's best, Socrates.

He would agree with Blake, "I must construct my own system or be enslaved by another's. "

Further, to entice you out of your warm cave where you see yourself as "all knowing", please don't gloat or say such things as "I know more than all of you etc....". You are in serious ego cardiac arrest. But I have to agree with your words here,

Quote:
A while ago Manner of Speaking commented that it was as if someone in a mental institution called all the other patients and invited them to post their random thoughts here. I am beginning to believe him.
