I've been told that I have to go get my own ARC from immi. Does anyone know what I need to bring besides my passport and some pics? I'd imagine I'd probably need the contract.
Also, does it cost anything, about how long until you get your card and where's the nearest immi office to Gangnam? I think its in Mok-dong but more specific info would be appreciated. One more thing, I took three months off between jobs. Do I need to care that I had an ARC last year (ie do I need the number or to tell them).
My school took care of all this last year but my new one doesn't seem to know very much about the process.
Thanks! |

Yes to all of that. You may need a certificate of employment as well.

Yes, don't remember how much. Also, if your visa is only single-entry and you want to leave the country and come back at some point, you may want to save some time and get a re-entry permit at the same time. That costs extra. If you're not sure if you will need one yet, then nevermind. You can go back anytime to get this.

You have to go back after about a week to pick it up. They'll tell you when.

No, as long as you are here on a new visa, any past visas are irrelevant. |

If Memory serves me correctly (it was a awhile ago) 50k for single, 80k for multi. That's for VISA...I think there is a fee on top of that.
100k should be good. your boss should be worrying about this, not you. MAke him/her pay. |

| I just did it, and it's already a blur... I'm sure that my boss gave me a copy of a document: something like his school's license/permit. |

| Someone from my previous schools always took me to immi to apply for the card, and they went back without me to pick up my card and passport. If you go alone, your boss will have to give you time off to go apply, since the office is closed on Saturdays. |

| This thread has some good information on the ARC process. It's from 2003, but I'm sure it's still relevant. |
