An ethical question to think about.
You move into an apartment. Your landlord has an air conditioner previously installed before you move in. During the time that you stay in your apartment, the ownership of the apartment changes hands.
When you leave your apartment.. do you..
a) take the air-conditioner with you
b) leave the air-conditioner for the new landlord |

Easy answer: It's not yours to take.
Say you did take it, does the new landlord know it's theirs? If they do and you take it, you could be in hot water, and you have no way to check if they know it's theirs or not. If you do take it and they don't know better than to stop you, you are still a thief.
Kind of a lose-lose situation, IMO. |
