Although they are fourth for murders by gun, they are only 14th for total murders per capita. They just like to use guns more than others for some reason.
The U.S. came in at 24 (thought we would do better, but oh well) and S. Korea came in at 38 (p-ssies).

However, it should be noted that not all of aforementioned methods of dispatch can be considered equally or even, in extremis, necessarily bad. |

There was an article in the Herald today written from the point of view of a Singaporean who was in Bangkok at the time of the blasts. He felt guilty for not going out and reveling on New Years even though bombs were exploding throughout the city.
He is a classic definition of a moron. Which is more important: a night of shameless debauchery and revelry, or your life? |
