Thanks, everyone...Some of you have great ideas !!!!
Here is just a thought:
I am what you might call a girly-girl with brains...
I love being beautiful, but I still have a decent brain inside.
I LOVE TO READ !!! And exercise...bring it on !!!
Some girls like to keep there beauty regiment to basically soap and water. If that works for you, I'm jealous
But I like to experiment and always update my makeup, etc. to what's in fashion and works best for me at the time...
I love makeup because its a form of creativity for me....Not that I look like a haute coutier (sp?) runway creation.
Now here's another question...Does anyone know where to get great massages that don't cost an arm and a leg??? |

I have read a lot of the "skin problems thread" and as I look in the mirror yet again, I realize that I have lost a bit of the natural "shine" women have when they take good care of themselves and are happy.
My question to all the other women out their is :
What do you do here to stay beautiful ???
Here are some suggestions I do:
-try to drink lots of water (yeah its tough, but more easily done after you've horked down half a bag of comforting nacho chips)
-get enough sleep
-get exercise, in any form
-go to the sauna
-keep wearing foundation because it does protect and moisterize my skin in this dry weather
-dust some bronzer powder on my cheeks so I don't feel completely washed out during winter
-watch/read something funny to stay lighthearted
-go the hairdressers (I know, gasp !!!) even for a little trim
-deep condition my hair at home
-watch the tyra show
If you want to "shine" especially here in Korea, what do you do?
Women, lets share our thoughts... |
by any chance is your theme song "Stupid Girls" by Pink....just curious.
Jade |
to slightly digress it's funny that someone like Pink.... a lame, fabricated, overly produced, no talent moron whose hair color matches her name would pick on girls who are JUST LIKE HER, only slightly more attractive.
just because you're not cute and have the body of a linebacker doesn't make you hip or edgy...and it certainly doesn't make you smart.
I don't have a beauty regimen at all, but i do make it a point to wash my face morning and night and use astringent. I've also taken to brushing my hair twice a day and its looking much nicer. And I'm good at eye make-up.
Sorry...that's all I got....but it works!
Don't worry too much about it...by the time you get old enough to need REAL treatment, plastic surgery and dermatology will have advanced to a point where 50 will be the new 20. |

I get massages at the Greenbi Spa in Hannam for 80,000 won for 1 hour 30mins. |

I know alot of girly-girly girls with brains and to be honest I have issues with the term girly girly. BTW I don't think PINK IS SO GREAT. I just love the lyrics....what did happen do dream a woman president???????
What happened to the dreams of a girl president
She's dancing in the video next to 50 Cent
They travel in packs of two or three
With their itsy bitsy doggies and their teeny-weeny tees
Where, oh where, have the smart people gone?
Oh where, oh where could they be?
Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
Porno Paparazzi girl, I don't wanna be a stupid girl
Baby if I act like that, flipping my blond hair back
Push up my bra like that, I don't wanna be a stupid girl
(Break it down now)
Disease's growing, it's epidemic
I'm scared that there ain't a cure
The world believes it and I'm going crazy
I cannot take any more
I'm so glad that I'll never fit in
That will never be me
Outcasts and girls with ambition
That's what I wanna see
Disasters all around
World despaired
Their only concern
Will they **** up my hair |

I find that a humidifier works wonders for my skin and hair... I turn it on at night, and I've definetly noticed a difference since I bought it.
Moisturize, wear sunscreen... uh, I think that's all that I've got. |

No problem! what I hate is that girly girl crap. Sorry to be blunt but unles you haven't haired over and don't bleed you are a woman. If you want to be a womanly woman more power to you. I admire them. Nancy Pelosi is great example. Paris Hilton is not.

So it's not girly-girls themselves, their behaviour, their attitudes, etc. you have issues with, but the term "girly-girl"?

Don't know much about Nancy, but Maggie & Condi are great examples, too!
As for Miss Hilton, we all thank God there are millions of brainy girly-girls who aren't tabloid skanks.

blah blah blah |
What happened to the dreams of a woman president? I think the dream is quite alive as Condi, Hilary, and Nancy are making quite the rounds. The fact that she would ask such an uninformed question in the era where MORE WOMAN THAN EVER are in politics and related fields, just fans the flames of her own stupidity.
yes yes...ok...she's angry Hollywood girls are dumb... but what I find ironic is someone who is in the same league as paris hilton, someone equally vapid, uneducated, talentless and who (as far as I know), cannot play instruments is touting how much she hates 'stupid girls'. Perhaps I could stand that diatribe from a first chair violinist, an economist, or even an IT technitian. I find it ironic when it comes from some pop fabrication called "PINK" who just thinks that because boys don't like her that much, she's "edgy". She's not...she's everything all those girls she looks down upon are, minus the cute face and hot body. I've heard her at award shows and she's equally inarticulate and as vapid as everyone else is. she seriously needs to get over herself.
I frankly prefer a Paris Hilton to a Pink or Averil Lavigne. Why? Because at least that ditz knows what she is: A stupid dumb cute blonde with a hot body and tons of cash. These other 'edgy' girls are equally moronic, uninformed and on top of that, see themselves as much more intellectual and individualistic than they actually are. Its self delusion gone wild.
On top of that, just like some guys intellectual level peaks at reading aplaybook and taking directions from his coach, some girls are just not that smart. who's to blame a stupid girl for playing up on her looks. maybe she's smart enough to know that looks dont last...
on a side note, periwinkle...those massages are expensive! |

Exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate! I can't say that enough.
I use an exfoliating moisturizer every morning and a revitalizing creme at night. I wash only with Dove soap (my dermatologists recommended it). I also keep the humidifier going whenever I am in my room. Every other day, I apply a self tanner to my face and neck. When I do wear makeup, it is a tinted moisturizer with sunblock.
Lastly, I make sure everyone around me has had atleast 3 beers in them at all times so that their beer goggles are functioning properly.
Did I mention exfoliating? |

Hi Everyone,
I got this video clip from another thread titled "I'm a beautiful girl"
Now watching this was making me sick until the very end ...
Then I burst out laughing !!!
I think I liked it because it brought some humour into the whole looking good thing, which IS important to me, but there is always room for taking the pi$$ out of beauty, too !!!
Enjoy !!!
(make sure your speakers are on !!!)
