are there satirical tv shows in korea? like some equivalent of "the daily show" or newspapers of that kind like "the onion"?

the only ones that I've seen are "funny" as in goofy... haven't ever seen a slick and witty show like the jon stewart show on comedy central

there's that show where the guy counts down a list of 19 things and wears those weird costumes. It's definitely goofy, but it's also...well, I don't know what it is. but there's a lot of talking. but it's not a bout news, it's about celelbrities and stuff. if i could understand more of it i'd let you know.

Korean "COPS"(경사)

Not meant as a satire, but the dramatisations are usually entertaining.

Can't think of a heap of shows but the one billy mentioned was a good example.. takes the urine out of celebrities and is pretty funny at times

This is off topic, but somewhat related. The Chosun Ilbo has a piece comparing Korean and US soaps.

I'm not a fan of anyone's soaps, but I found the comparison interesting.

This just in: The American Wave sweeping across Korea! Expect protests this weekend with Korean protesters wearing NY Yakees hats, Levis jeans, Nike shoes whilst sipping on coke and eating a Big Mac.
