hahah just read about avatar in paper TB.
so costwise, what's the phillippines comparable to, on a per-day, shoestring budget backpacker style? cheaper than thailand i'm sure, but what about other places in SE asia? looking for a general estimate of how much to bring.
anything else super cool shopping wise? got back from SE asia and picked up some major cool gear (tailored suits, random junk, etc.) like to see more of that out there too. |

| Good news for me. I am now going for a full 2 weeks, so I will actually have 14 days on the ground now. That changes a lot of things. Anyways, I have been looking at going to Sipalay and going to Sugar Beach. Everything I hear about it is exactly what I like. Anybody been there? Tiger Beer? Ttompatz? |
Sipalay's Sugar Beach seems to be quite new on the scene.
They are playing it up as a Top 10 Islands and Beaches in the latest (June 2006) Lonely Planet. Hadn't really heard of it before. Browsing online and the government is really pushing that place, even with the possibility of direct flights from other cities soon. |
