The ad was 2.5MIL for 120 hours (just a carrot, yes, I know) and with each email from the company, the hours keep going up and the pay keeps going down (and the kindy hours get longer and longer, too). Today it dropped to 1.8. But why? Where's the strategy in that? They're trying to discourage me as an applicant? Why bother? I don't get it. I asked to see the contract and they sent me a BITMAP of a pretend contract. Mhm. Every email has ended with "CALL US BY 8:00 OR WE'LL GIVE IT TO THIS GUY FROM CHICAGO!!!!" Hahahahaha.

Games - fine, that's expected, but why would you keep making the offer worse? That has me befuddled.

They are obviously stupid. Let them play their little games and find yourself a halfway decent gig.

Typical businessman ploy.Just trying to make a sale after the initial teaser.

You need to take the same approach.Ask for salary/benefits that you want or you'll go with another school.

I once told a school that their overtime rate of 15,000 was unacceptable and they should come up with a better offer.

They came back offering 16,000. Brilliant move.
