I guess some of you know about this, but it's still interesting.

Quote:
Julia Mullock (born 18 March 1928) became a member of the Korean Imperial Household with the title Her Imperial Highness Princess Julia Lee of Korea when she married Gu, Prince of Korea.

Kind reminds me of the Paul Mooney comedy bit:

Quote:
Hollywood is crazy. The Last Samurai starring...Tom Cruise? He's the last samurai? Give me a break, that movie was offensive. First they had The Mexican with Brad Pitt and now they have The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise.

Well i've written a film, maybe they'll produce my film:

The Last N*gger On Earth starring Tom Hanks.

...and wasn't there a movie where blond-haired, blue-eyed Val Kilmer played a 'half-breed injun' returned to the reservation as a detective?

One of the justifications for not allowing a woman to sit on the Japanese throne was the danger she'd go away to school in America and marry a blond haired blue eyed male and the sacred genetic line blah blah would be forever corrupted blah blah. Although the politicians don't ever seem to think there's a danger the Japanese crown prince won't get the hots for a Swedish woman and no Swedish woman would ever return the attraction.

Japanese men will do their duty. Japanese women will give themselves to the American devils.

And, David 'Republican' Carradine, as a lithe and slanty-eyed Chinaman. Surprised ---- 미안해. ㅋㅋㅋ

No no. They just created a fake one on MBC. Kung. Isn't that the saddest kind of wish fulfillment TV?

Oh yeah, Kung. What is the deal with that? I had it explained to me once. Apparently it's an alternate historical timeline where Korea is a great empire? I have seen such an embarrassingly naked example of wish fulfillment since the porn version of I Dream of Jeanie.

I don't think Korea is depicted as some kind of a 'great empire' in it. As far as I know and have seen, it's another lovey dovey drama just with royalty in the background like Princess Diary. You know, some teen girls can fantasize about romance between a prince and an ordinary candy girl but they can't have Prince William or Harris there.
