|

Hi,
Sorry I know this should be elsewhere, but I had trouble logging into the other threads.
We are set to leave Korea soon and travel, however we would like to pick up some short term (1/2 month) work along the way, Bangkok is a desired destination.
Is casual teaching work available like this? How easy is it to find? We are not interested in signing up for something longer and doing a runner, only something 'legit'. Perhaps a summer camp or something?
Any advice would be great!

Try forums for Thailand or whatever country you'll be in.
www.ajarn.com is good for Thailand.
Do you really want to work for just 2 weeks, for a few hundred bucks? |

I've done some private teaching in Indonesia, more a case of who you know than what you know. If you have had experience amongst the Koreans, there are plenty down there right now. Just have to get in the right circles. The pay may not be great, but you can survive on it. |

I worked a kids camp in Thailand one time. They had all kinds of 2-4 day camps that you could teach, and could pick up a 1/2months work easily. The pay is peanuts compared to what you make in Korea though, so you probably will not feel that it's worth it. |
