I'm going to get a Xbox 360 asap and I was wondering if it would be better to buy it from Play-Asia or in Yongsan? Play-Asia charge a minimum of 50,000 won for delivery.

Its more expensive than that especially with the delivery charge, about 373,000 without delivery charge. 310,000 for the Core, this is in green packaging, is this what you mean?

Okay. Even so, I doubt its worth my while to get it from Play-Asia. A trip to Yongsan looks more economic. Thanks for the info anyway.

I have a question though most people will probably not know how to answer it:

Is there a place here in Korea that you can get a MODDED xbox 360 to play burnt games? I know a chip is possible and I just wasted 2 hours of my life travelling to Yongsan just to find out that they can only install a chip (50,000 won) on an 'old model' which no one there carries.

I honestly didn't even know that they had a new and old model! I just want to buy the thing and be able to make my own games without having to mod it myself. Can anyone help?

If you also have one for sale that can play burned games, send me a PM with a price.

Ok well to update anyone who cares I went with a friend to pick up his Xbox 360 on Saturday. He had come the week before to confirm the deal, then had his wife wire the money (I think you could also put a deposit down and pay the balance if you want on pickup) so we went to pick it up.
What they did was "flash the bios" which in my limited understanding makes copy games work. He got the Xbox 360, 2 controllers, the battery recharger for the controllers, 2 copy games for (Gears of War, and Need for Speed) for a total of 440 000 won. Considering it was basically the same price at Emart, but NO flashing of the bios to enable copy game playing, he's happy as hell.
Where was this located? As you come into Yongsan station, I'm talking the "old" way into the electronics part, you go down one flight of stairs and take the skywalk over. Come downstairs and just past the parking garage take a left and you'll see a slope going down to underground place selling all kinds of Ps2's, Xboxes, etc. He chose the guy going down the ramp, spoke fairly good english and tested everything for us before we left. My buddy also decided he didn't want Need for speed and when a copy wasn't available (15000) he bought a legit copy of Burnout Revenge for 25000 won. I'm impressed with the price for supposedly "legit" games at 25000 won a pop. You can't go wrong! Sure beats 40000 won a pop at Emart. Anyway we went home and played both Gears of War and Burnout Revenge. Gears of War rocks and we played it for awhile. I'd already played Burnout on my Ps2 but it was still fun.
Oh and one other thing to note. He crossed the street and bought an Lg dual layer dvd drive for 33 000 won, bought 10 dual layer disks for 28 000 won, went home and downloaded Rainbox Six Las Vegas and burned it and it WORKS! This was a "region free" game so maybe it only works for those specific region free ones, but still he's happy as hell!

Thank you bourquetheman! I've read about flashing the system and I'm glad to know that you can get such a thing out here. It would've been a shame to done months of research for nothing! I'm gonna head out there the first chance I get.....thank you thank you thank you!

Just for those who will be looking for such information in the future, I thought I'd add more information.

I used the above directions of going through the skywalk tunnel which puts you right into a mall. You go down the escelator that is found in the middle of the shopping area.

After going down a level, I went through a smaller skywalk on that very floor (it was not obvious to me at first). I followed this and eventually, I came out, went down the stairs to the street, and went down the ramp that was mentioned above. The guy I used was stocky, had a goat-tee, and spoke fairly good english which leads me to believe it was the same fella.

I got a modded 360 with an extra wire controller for 390,000 won. It took him one day to get it ready for me and I paid a 100,000 won deposit. He tested it in front of me and was selling copied games at 15,000 won each.

Hope this helps someone as much as it has helped me! Send me a PM if you needed more information.
