I'm wondering, too. I posted like you, but only a troll replied. I know that Hangkuk Academy of Foriegn Studies sucks. |

I had an interview for "Dept of debate and Current Affairs" or some such.
They asked me what I thought of some recent issue.I gave my opinion(something about govt, investigation of the media for tax evasion.I offered that perhaps it was politically motivated, rather than revenue seeking)which was met with a resounding silence and I bade them good day. |

I have a former high school student going there. She loves it. She said she can even be late or skip class without getting punished. |

It's a 'university' position explicitly recruiting BA holders. That should be a warning sign. It only pays 2.0 million. THAT should be a bigger warning sign. |

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) is a University which has began to "sell" its name to franchises (hogwans) to use as their names. In the end, if it is a HUFS it is as good as the owner of the school wants it to be. Do your research, contact teachers, and be flexible. You'll be fine. |

In addition to the main reasons I have provided via PM (among many others) not to work there, I can give you one big one:
10 month strike
Any questions?
And I forgot to mention, ever notice every 3-4 months another advertisement on Dave's for NUMEROUS available positions there . . .Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. |

I agree BUT HUFS and HAFS are separate institutions (at least on paper). There is also the infamous [/i] i hufs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT accept a contract with HUFS, HAFS or I HUFS. You will be screwed in someway bu someone. It is just a question of when and how. |
