I am looking for free software to enable me to fill out a pdf form, or enlightenment if this can be carried out within XP 'home'.

Convert the file or try something from Google on the subject.

Thanks demophobe, but unfortunately the software didn't do too good.
It only does first page, and made a mess of mine.

I did some more googling, and found http://www.verypdf.com/pdf2word/index.html

This does 5-page pdfs, and does a terrific looking job.
The trial version gives you 100 conversions.

I am trying to convert a 6-page application form.

A useful thing for application forms etc..

Splits the dpf file into smaller groups which you can then convert easily as posted earlier.

I think OpenOffice can do it. I know that the program can save a PDF file...
