Someone mentioned 1330 in another post and I decided to add it and some other numbers to my wallet.

This is from my blog:

http://bowlad.com/serendipity/index.php?/archives/63-In-my-wallet..html#extended

I have a spare set of apartment keys folded in some cardboard so they don't wear through my wallet. (I also have a spare set in my coat pocket. This might not be a good idea as someone will have my keys and my address if someone steals my wallet but I don't want to lock myself out of my apartment.)

60,000 won tucked in a pocket in the wallet as emergency money.

My address written in Hangul. (If you don't know Hangul you will still need Hangul to show to Koreans.)

My coteacher's name written in Hangul and her phone number.

1330 mentioned above plus all the area codes. If you use a cell phone you need the area code.

(0)2 Seoul

(0)31 Gyeonggi

(0)32 Incheon

(0)33 Gangwon

(0)41 Chungnam

(0)42 Daejeon

(0)43 Chungbuk

(0)51 Busan

(0)52 Ulsan

(0)53 Daegu

(0)54 Gyeongbuk

(0)55 Gyeongnam

(0)61 Jeonnam

(0)62 Gwangju

(0)63 Jeonbuk

(0)64 Jeju

All the numbers from the Seould Help Center For Foreigners Helpline webpage.

info 02 731 6800

English 02 797 8212

medical 010 4769 8212 or 010 8750 8212

The number for the Before Bable Brigade volunteer translation service. 1 is English but there's a card you can print from the website that lists all the languages.

Mom's phone number and other personal numbers.

I learned in the states that if your phone breaks, runs out of bateries or can't reach a cell tower then you will need your numbers on paper to use another phone.

I learned at school that you should at least remember the phone numbers of your SO, your mother and perhaps a sibling. Not to mention the numbers of emergency services............

ARC, gym membership card, carte telephonique universel, work ID, photocopy of old ARC, Leaders international calling card, hairdresser membership card, free drink at the bar card (the Coffee Bean), business card for a hotel in China (there's a question - Who DOESN'T have a business card of some kind in their wallet?), the REAL names of a number of Korean teachers that work with me written in Hangul, Canomore mileage card (won't be needing that again - rip off), a hair dresser business card, 2 electricity bill receipts, 2 ATM charge card receipts, receipt for the great wall, receipt for the Summer palace (Beijing), an interestingly..and the main reason I posted this -

a piece of tissue with the cyworld address of a Korean hottie I tried to get with a while back. I fell in love with that girl and never even checked that cyworld page but I think I was drunk at the time.

Goofy I know, but she liked soju. I'm really glad I checked my wallet again. It was nice to see a photo of her again. She is still hot and her site is really cute. I just said 'Hi' to her on it!!

I don't keep keys in my wallet.

P.S tzechuk that baby is so cute I'm gonna kidnap that goddam baby and build a family of my own brick by brick

Oh, almost forgot, I also have a piece of card with my name written in English, phone number and email address on it.

What's in your wallet was a play on the credit card comercials in the U.S. for Capitol One. I did not want everyone to list their wallet contents.

...Since moving here I have lost my wallet. Replacing the contents was a hassle and a half. I now go without. In my pocket is my apartment key, bank card, t-money + 30,000 W. All my other stuff is kept in a drawer.
