My friend told me an interesting thing today. A dodgy employer who illegally hires loads of foreigners part-time to work at other schools (for commission) or do one-on-one tutoring, claimed he'd caught one of his teachers making his own business arrangements with one of the clients. For this, he boasted that the errant lad would now be forced to leave the country because Mr Dodgy Employer has lots of contacts in immigration.

Question: Do you think this kind of thing happens or is it just a big bluff to frighten little teachers.

Question: If a dodgy employer did threaten to do this to an employer that he himself had hired illegally, would the teacher have any surefire way to scare the employer out of taking such action?

It's a bluff. The amount of bribe money that the employer would have to pay immigration to not get in trouble would be more than the fine itself.
Again, it's a big bluff.

Tell Mr. Dodgy Employer that you will post particulars of him on here and other boards and drop a letter to the Blue House plus the Central Immigration office along with the English papers and to top it off lodge a complaint with your own embassy.

agree with reply one. it is a bluff. the reporting employer would get stung by immigration for a huge fine for employing so many foreigners.
