Mine, because it separates the winners (those who recognize where I took the screenshot from) from the losers. |

I give re: cursive's avatar my vote. It is certainly the strangest.
It's the one where a person is wearing a chicken head with huge bat-like wings, flapping them (or perhaps dancing??) in front of a stolid, hollow looking child mannequin.
WTF is THAT about?????
A psychologists nightmare that one! |
That one gives me the creeps! If we're looking for most disturbing avatar, it has my vote.
Of course, I like my avatar. It's of a 100 year old tortoise and the baby hippo he adopted after it was orphaned during the tsunami. I'm just a sucker for stuff like that. |

Ok, the poll is up and running!
http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=75862
I'll do round two in a couple of weeks, and put the top 2 or 3 on, along with the sarcasmkills and wormholes avatars. They are already into the second round, for being so inspirational and heartwarming. Thanks, you guys. Also I will put on the two or three other ones that are no doubt really awesome but have so far escaped my booze-addled attention.
Loved all your avatars you guys, and wish I could've put more on...love that you have Jesus Inside you, Nobbyken. I hope you're using the proper protection. Sorry to not include very many baby and animal ones, and even though I didn't put you on the poll Princess, you're always number one in my heart. Love the starwars rocks one, too, but I couldn't make the link work for some dumb reason. Luvnpeas, yours gave me recurring acid flashbacks. Thanks a lot. Kwhitehead, I don't like wieners usually, but your avatar made me reconsider.
Thanks all! |

There was a poster who had an avatar of a giant bunny with huge gonads that swung them around. Then you'd see a flash of a Korean girl dressed up as little red riding hood saying, "Wow!" Awesome.
Good theme for an avatar. |

I like mine, because it explains what the difference should be between a Christian and a non-christian.
I don't think it is too offensive to anybody, is it? |

My favorite is the one with the safes. You know you've seen it.
"Safe s e x"
I have to say spliff's avatar disturbs me, as well as that one where the guy it banging his hands and head against the keyboard until blood flies everywhere and his head explodes.
I like mine: meggiebea....Maggie simpson, yeah it works. |

It's a tanooki, right?

The comical image of the tanuki is thought to have developed during the Kamakura era. The actual wild tanuki has unusually large test!cles, a feature that has inspired humorous exaggeration in artistic depictions of the creature. Tanuki may be shown with their test!cles flung over their backs like travellers' packs, or using them as drums. As tanuki are also typically depicted as having large bellies, they may be depicted as drumming on their bellies instead of their test!cles -- particularly in contemporary art.
A common schoolyard song in Japan (the tune of which can be heard in the arcade game Ponpoko and a variation of which is sung in the Studio Ghibli film Pom Poko) makes explicit reference to the tanuki's anatomy:
Tan Tan Tanuki no kintama wa,
Kaze mo nai no ni,
Bura bura bura
(Roughly translated, this means "Tan-tan-tanuki's test!cles, there isn't even any wind but still go swing-swing-swing" ... ) |
