How do you manage your asthma? I've only been here a few weeks and I'm already out of breath going up the subway stairs. Are you able to do any vigorous cardio exercise, such as jogging/running/aerobics? What in the world do you do during the "yellow dust?"

I returned to Korea in 2005 and was okay the first year. Then in fall last year, my lungs started to close up all of a sudden. My doctor said it was asthma and gave me medicine, only I got worse. Then I remember I got it during my two miserable years in Los Angeles, and that I had cured it via Oriental medicine (hanyak). So I blew 600,000 won on treatment, and I'm fine now.

I use a mist when I need it, but I haven't had to use it in a while. And yeah, I hear exercise is good for preventing asthma, and perhaps you might want to invest in an air cleaner for home.

Some peoples asthma is triggered by the dryness in the air combined with the cold...the air is very dry at the moment.

Get a humidifier and that may help you somewhat.....
