Alcohol Makers Target Students
Hite Brewery and Jinro, which merged last year, are being criticized for their marketing strategies targeting university students.... Since the one-hour field trip gives the university students free bus service to Kangwon Province and provides them with a large number of bottles of soju for free, it has gained great popularity among university students who go on ski trips to Kangwon Province during winter vacation.

"Since July last year, there have been more than seven teams which organized more than 50 field trips," he said, requesting anonymity.... A former president of the student council of a university located in Seoul, who recently finished his term, said that they were given 2,000 bottles of soju, produced by Jinro, for free on the condition that they installed a publicity booth for Hite Brewery....

No. They may not all be adults of legal drinking age.

How old are most university freshmen?

The legal drinking age in Korea is
From January 1st of the year the person becomes 19.

Once you're 18, you can drink. I feel sorry for Americans between 18 and 20. University is where you drink and smoke weed. Anything else is secondary to the experience.

University if for drinking. Actually if you ask me drinking age law should be abolished or altered.
As kids when we were 13-14 we drank stupidly like college freshmen in US do since all that stuff was new to us. When we were 18+ binge drinking just to get drunk, not knowing how to drink at all which is a problem on US campuse and be cool was boring and passe. It was better to drink but do not make a fool out of yourself and enjoy the drink you are drinking. Sure we got drunk and did many things young people do, but....no drinking games, no beer bongs and other stupid things.
