The Republic of Wolandistan is a tiny, socially progressive nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its intelligent population of 5 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Healthcare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 21%. A substantial private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Door-to-door Insurance Sales and Trout Farming.
Crime is relatively low. Wolandistan's national animal is the tabby housecat and its currency is the norb.
All bragging points, I'm sure. Let the diplomacy begin. |

The Republic of Spingook
"There is no god but the state"
The Republic of Spingook is a tiny, pleasant nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 5 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
The medium-sized, corrupt government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 19%. A substantial private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Door-to-door Insurance Sales.
Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Spingook's national animal is the hyena and its currency is the spin. |

The Republic of Mateomiguel News Update
* the Republic has been named the #1 most Eco-Friendly Government in the East Asian Peninsular Region. The country spends the highest amount per capita on environmental issues.
* Recently, the Republic government has decided against public surveillance cameras, citing that the privacy of its citizens was more important than curbing crime
* The Republic has also instituted compulsory voting for its citizens. Each citizen who is eligible to vote is required to vote. Non-compliance will be ... discouraged.
* Top R.M. officials have recently been quoted making disparaging remarks about the United Nations. One official was reported as muttering "Bunch of ineffective gas-bags" when asked a question about the UN. It doesn't seem likely that the R.M. will be sending a UN delegate in the near future.
(As far as I know these things are actually determined by the policy decisions you make each day. I'd be interested in hearing about other countries' decisions too ) |

The Fiefdom of Bondrock is a small, economically powerful nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 7 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.
The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Basket Weaving, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries.
Organ donation is compulsory, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, and bicyclists are banned from major roads. Crime is a serious problem. Bondrock's national animal is the Amoeba, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Bunodo.
Bondrock is ranked 4th in the region and 63,177th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments. |

I used to play this game, it gets boring after a while as there isn't much variety.
Don't bother reading the book that this site is advertising, it's not very good.

lets rock this shit
The Most Serene Republic of Slep2
"You may come and look at life with me, if you care to."
UN Category: Liberal Democratic Socialists
Civil Rights:
Excellent Economy:
Fragile Political Freedoms:
Superb
Location: East Asian Peninsular Regional Influence: Minnow
The Most Serene Republic of Slep2 is a tiny, safe nation, notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.
The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt, socially-minded morass -- devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Law & Order and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 45%, but much higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.
Crime is totally unknown. Slep2's national animal is the Monty, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Assa. |

The Borderlands of Cantabrian is a small, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 7 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass -- juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Healthcare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 39%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small but healthy private sector is led by the Pizza Delivery industry, followed by Basket Weaving and Woodchip Exports.
Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Cantabrian's national animal is the triantiwontigontalope, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the holy rind.
Cantabrian is ranked 4th in the region and 44,225th in the world for Nicest Citizens. |
