most korean food is delicious. there is some, though, i've sampled but will never touch again:
dong-jib: (translation: poo-poo house). this is the poo-poo house of a chicken.
chicken feet: like gnawing on your knuckles.
blood pig-spine soup: regular pig-spine soup is delicious, but this catchy version is boiled in blood and comes with (literally) a heart. |

| My grandma likes gizzards. I'm from Ohio so it's not just a Korean thing. |

i know the korean name for it is a misnomer but you'd think that people would get it that its not the actual arsehole of the chicken!
as for me, i've only eaten 청국장 and that 삭은 홍어 once and that was enough for a lifetime! |

| I like 청국장 quite a bit. I've had the rotten skate more than once, but it really is quite foul. |

Nothing new - go to Germany, Austria and other countries in the region and eat the same.
I suggest you try abai sundae - which is the real thing made with rice - Sokcho on East coast is famous for that because north korean defectors made Abai village there - sundae is NK food from that area.
Cheap stuff they sell on the street is made from noodles and its bad. Can't even compare the 2 if you tried real abai one. |

| I'd say bondeggi (the chrysalids, transforming shell, no longer silkworm, but not yet moth) except for the fact that after 4 years in this country I finally had it a second time, half sloshed on soju with a Korean friend. Ugghh. Never again. Or at least not wityhout more soju in me. |
