Hi there. I'm moving to Busan from Oklahoma later this month and I wanted to find out if there were any other Spanish-speakin' folks around the Busan area.

I am a caucasian girl, but I've worked hard to learn and speak semi-fluent Spanish, and I'm afraid in my year's time in soko, I may lose it all.

I'm interested in forming a once-in-a-while meetup of sorts to speak Spanish or what DVDs with Spanish subtitles or something/anything to help retain the language....

Anyone interested? Feel free to instant message me or whatnot.

Adios, mi companeros y companeras!

Hello,

Please check out Pusanweb.com. There you will find out about my Spanish group. We meet biweekly but we are pretty much newbies.

There is a small non-native Spanish speaking population in Busan. I work with and know several intermediate speakers who meet every so often to speak Spanish. Perhaps you could meet up with them.

Also, I have another friend who teaches her coworkers Spanish in exchange for Korean lessons.

Spanish is not in demand like English, Japanese or Chinese but you will find speakers and potential students.

I'm so happy to find out about a group like this! Yay!

Perhaps I'll see you around sometime then?

Thanks so much-

One of the weirdest moments I had in Mexico: Speaking Mandarin (poorly) to a Chinese restaurant owner there! Freaking weird. I didn't realize that there were many Koreans in Mexico, but I suppose it makes sense.

And yeah, I do plan to study korean. I've bought a couple of books and am anticipating maybe taking some classes or trading English-for-Korean lessons with some folks.
Yay!

Which part of Busan will you live in? I know of three Korean schools in my area.
