I am wondering if my camp is not a little too long.
So far I got 20-day camp with 4x40min classes and last summer was 16 days with 5x40min. classes.
How about yours? |

Gee, I don't know if you're the exception or if I am, but I kind of feel like your school is more considerate than mine. |

Are you talking about camp or winter classes? Camp is where you go someplace other than your school and stay overnight.
I don't understand how you can teach a camp for 2.5 hours a day. That sounds like winter classes. |

My schedule is the same. It certainly feels too long, but I guess that's just psychological because all the Korean teachers started their vacations last month. I'll get 5 weeks of paid vacation this year, and that's very reasonable as far as I'm concerned. It may not be the 3-4 month K-teacher gravy train, but it beats the crap out of 10 scattered days off in a hagwon. |

Two weeks ago: 2 X 45 minutes for three days.
Next week: 4 X 45 minutes for five days.
After that? No bloody clue. Apart from all the last-minuteness, no major complaints here. |

2 weeks of winter camp staying over night with the kids at an out of town location, pretty much 8 hours a day.
Now 3 weeks of 9am-12noon.
So I consider its balanced itself out. |

From Jan 2nd to Feb 2nd.
I teach 6 regular 'after school' classes (in the morning) and 3 'camp' classes at my MWF school. The camp classes are either two or three 40 minute classes strung together. There are 1st and 2nd grade together one day, etc. At my TTH school I teach two 40 minute 'camp' classes a day. I only have to stay for classes but I stay longer making stuff for class etc.
Hours are 9-1 MWF 9-10:30 TTH. I'm not complaining. I get my second week of time off after camp finishes. |
