Now I know why the latest Bond sucked so much gastrointestinal fluid....

When Miami Vice was made, it kicked so much ASS it actually ripped open up a wormhole and sucked all of the BADASS out of every other movie in the last 20 years. If you're not watching MIAMI VICE right now go check yourself in the mirror and make sure you've still got something dangling down there.

This movie is going to stick your *beep* in the blender and drink the *beep* that comes out, slowly through a straw, so it can savor the taste. Your sperm count will increase by 600,000-fold when you watch Miami Vice. Your girlfriend is going to tell you to go to hell because you're going to sleep with your copy of the special edition DVD, every night. If your friends aren't down with the Vice you should watch them closely...

Whoa, that Miami Vice movie sucked major a$$!!!!!!!!!!

It was freakin' terrible! I want to sue everyone involved for ruining that hour and a half of my life.

Once I saw it, I warned all my friends not to go near it. Too late.
Two friends had already seen it and regretted it. Neither of them finished it.
I must be a masochist because I sat through the whole thing. I wish I hadn't!

Both of their heads!!! This movie had more head shots than a Dita Von Teese video!!

When I tell my students that I love this movie and they're all like "Why don't you marry it then, hehehhehe!" I just stare them down and slowly raise my hand and show them my wedding band...

Miami Vice was a great movie. Michael Mann is as close as you can get to a sure thing. I still like Heat better. Colin Farrell couldn't carry Pacino or Deniro's jock.

You didn't see the movie. It was closer to 2.5 hours.

Note to Mack: we can have more than one good movie every 20 years.

Note to Paji: The only movie that comes anywhere close to Miami Vice in terms of sheer bad-assness would be the first installment of "The Matrix". But the Matrix loses this battle. It didn't have HEINDER and THINGIES!

Agreed, but at least he's not 80 or however the funk old those guys are.

Mack, your obviously a young lad, too young to remember the TV series that was the show of shows. Fast-forward 20 years to wanna-be Crockett looking like someone took away his teddy bear. NO dealer would EVER believe he was not a cop. That movie was beyond weak, and I am normally a huge Mann fan, Heat being one of my all-time favorites. Plus, Miami Vice without Edward James Olmos, without "In the Air Tonight" playing, with a terrible female lead, but again, Colin Farrell, what a nightmare. Mack, put down the bong.

All I read is blah blah blah "No dealer would EVER believe he was not a cop." Right. And no dealer would EVER believe that Don Johnson was not a regular at the Bird Cage at South Beach.

Oh, and Heat was boring, except for that fantastic shootout which was one of the best scenes in a movie, EVER.

Saw the movie on the flight back to the states, got to agree here. It doesnt hold a candle to the original show.

Dont forget no Saundra Santiago either a BIG minus Wink

I don't care WHAT Mack thinks about anything.

I just wanna hear more of it.

I still remember fondly his thread on Predator:

Best. Post. Ever.

Keep 'er rolling, Mack!

No one in their right mind compares the two movies and puts MV on top. As for drug movies, Blow kills it, as did Carlito's Way, and of course, the incomparable Scarface, as well as the original pilot movie of MV starring the real Crockett and Tubbs.

And Olmos was a Glaring omission. I'm guessing Olmos saw who was playing Crockett and doubled over laughing. Foxx was alright though, the only bright spot of the movie, but he was much better in Ray.

M.V. was better than 007 but that's not saying much as both were below expectations.

If you want a recent awesome action flick just CRANK it.

Funny, original, with action scenes second to none.
