I'm moving out of my roof top apartment in Haebongcheong, Kyongeedang on January 29.
It has two rooms; one room is the kitchen area, and the other room is the bedroom/ living area. The bed is a loft with a queen size mattress. Because of this you have space below to use as storage, and hang your clothes; there is a closet so the choice is yours.
Of course, being on the roof youll have a great view of Building 63 all the way to Namsam Tower.
Including my place, the building has 5 units and the owner lives in the courtyard unit.
The location is very convenient to downtown and Gangnam by bus (401, 406, 143, 9400) and is a 10 minute walk to Itaewon
The nearest subway is Noksapyong

1 million key and 400K a month

PM me if you are interested and I can show the place on weekends.
If you can speak Korean, or have a friend who can you can, call the owner, 박복원 at 02-795-7268 , and he will show it to you during the week.

Note: Suffice it to say I will be having a moving sale starting next weekend, January 13.

Not off topic at all as I did mention the moving sale.
I have a toaster oven, but I'll be bringing it with me.

The sale starting next Saturday is open house, so come by, have a couple of beers and make me an offer on th items marked for sale.

How long is the lease? Can I rent the apartment on a month by month basis, with a 60 day notice on leaving? Sounds like a great place.. And perfect timing, as I'm arriving back in Seoul on Jan 25. Also, can you post or email some pictures? Thanks for the info..

Freebeer, as I mentioned above, the sale starting next Saturday is open house, so come by, have a couple of beers and make me an offer on the items marked for sale.
That also goes for anyone wanting to see the place.
As for the lease, that is between you and the landlord.

For the open house:
- Get off at Noksapyong station
- From exit 1 you will see a Lexus dealership across the street.
- From the dealership side of the street, go to Kraze Burgers/ Tacos Tacos and give me a call at 016 9525 9690

Note: As I write this I already have 5 people who want to see the place.

Hey,

Just out of curiosity, why are you trying to rent the place out? Isn't that the land lord's problem?

Not if you've signed a 1 or 2 year contract it isn't. Sure they lose their rent, but they are entitled to take it from the deposit if you don't get a tenant.

It all depends on the terms of the contract. Since I'm married to a Korean we have a regular Korean sized deposit so moving out early is a major issue.

If you are coming to the open house tomorrow, Jan. 13, let's all meet at Taco Tacos Mexican Restaurant next to Kraze Burgers in Haebongcheong/ Kyonleedang at 2:00 pm.

The apartment is taken.
If there is a change I'll post it here

As for the sale, the person is going to buy everything but the closet, TV, and modded XBox.
I will be selling these things; must be out on the 29th, so you can take them off my hand on that day.

Closet: Standard with 2 drawers

TV: Stereo 29"

XBox: 120gig hdd with tons of game (list coming soon) and Sega clasic games.

Really? I thought that if you give them proper notice (usually 60 days I think), then you get out and you get your key money back.. I need to learn more about renting an apartment in Korea. (Can anyone point me in the right direction?)
