I would recommend going to the Adobe site and getting the Educational discount.

Just curious though, CS3 is coming out soon and why InDesign? I have a degree in graphic design and unless you are making multi-page projects, Illustrator will do everything InDesign can do and give you the versatility of a vector-based design program.

One little tip to avoid font portability issues at the printer's-turn your text into outlines, both Illustrator and InDesign can do this.
