...comes this info...

There are also several microbrewery beers:
Praha (in Gangnam)
Platinum (in Agpujeong and Gangnam)
Jung-ang Micro Brewery (in Ansan)
German Brauhaus (in Ansan)
Three Dragons (in Sinchon)
Rosenbru (in Ilsan) |
Has anybody tried these? I looked in the usual supermarkets in Ansan for the Ansan labels, but no dice. |

I've tried Platinum (Gangnam station, outside of exit and strongly recommend it. They have 7 microbrews and all are on par with microbrews from the US and Canada. For 28,000 won, you get an all you can eat and drink buffet. One beer, their strongest, isn't included, but you can pay an extra 3,000 for it. It's over 8%.
The buffet is from 6-9 pm, and you'll need a reservation. Their number is 02-2052-0021 ~2.
Has anyone been to Praha or Three Dragons? Where exactly are they and how is the beer? |

I was surprised to find a second Castle Praha in Hongdae, right next to DGBD. That one has more ambience than the Gangnam one. |

I really like the Platinum Buffet beers. Some weeks the food selection is better than others, but it's always pretty good. As someone mentioned, 7 or 8 different types to wash down your meal.
If I was inclined to go out just for beer, however, I would go to Castle Praha. As good as Platinum is, Praha is even better. Not quite as many drinks to choose from, but the beer has a distinct taste and a full body. Really good draught. Never tried the one in Hongdae, but sounds interesting. |

I thought it was draft, not draught. I know where to find Erdinger on tap. It's quite good. |

Draft or draught? Draught is British spelling - check the Guinness ads. |

Platinum in Gangnam is on Tehran-ro, north side about 30 metres east of the subway exit. It might be exit 8, anyway, the highest numbered exit, opposite side of the road from exit 1.
Well worth a visit. |
