is there a laundromat (launderette/laundrette) in gwangju (downtown or the westside)? i need some hot/warm water and a dryer would be nice... |

There is one in Sangchondong. It is in the one room apartment area near a GS25 store. I hope this helps. |

One of my uni textbooks mentioned this word and I kind of explained it. I think the Korean word is 빨래방 however the dictionary at naver tells me that its 자동 세탁기 or 건조기. I think the dictionary is wrong.
Anyway even after hearing 빨래방 some of the big city students had to explain what it meant to the small town folk..
in conclusion, they're not common here. Your best bet might be to look for a One-Room near you as they usually have communal washing machines on each floor which are free. |
