Depends on where you live. 5 million won deposit in Kangnam is going to get you perhaps nothing, while in Itaweon it will get you some thing larger.
All depends on the area.
I had a friend in Nowon who paid (so she said) 65 million won in key money.
An apartment in a new building will cost you a lot more then one in an old vila |

I was answering some one who asked if 5 million won was enough of a security deposit to get a place. That is why I said what I did! |
