I went to platinum and found the place to be over priced and the food is terrible. Also both nights I was there they ran out of the good kinds of beer so you were forced to drink the crap. The beer smelled like sewer too...yuck!
Also tried the "canadian" microbrew alley cat. I think it is better than platinum in the way of microbrew. |

Well here's a map to DGBD. Get into the area, and you'll see a giant building that looks like an old church. It's not a church though--the Castle Praha is in the basement.

You are the first of dozens I know who think Platinum beers are not good. Every single one of their beers is great. Their food is good too, not great, but good. It is expensive at 7,000 a glass, but the buffet for 28,000 is a deal if you are going to load up on beer. I spend at least 30,000 at a bar alone on a party night. I consider the quality of the beer and all the food a bonus.

I'm getting the impression that all the beers in my list are only sold in-house, rather than bottled and sold locally in stores. Is that correct? |

I belive one of the conditions of allowing microbrewing into Korea was that they could not bottle it, so as not to hurt the sales of (S)Hite and C(ass) |

I'm not so sure about that.I've asked at microbrewery pubs if I could take some away and they've said no.Just some plastic bottles and perhaps a sticker is all it needs.
What would they charge for a bottle(pub pet) though?10K-15K?
They possibly would just prefer you to keep drinking where you are.If you leave then that's their anju money gone too. |

I dont understand what you are trying to say. Anyway, when I refer to the bottling of microbrews, I meant to bottle it and sell it at supermarkets. |

Koreans wouldn't go for it and the pub would rather have people come in to buy it with anju at a higher price than it would command in a supermarket. |

What do you mean by "allow...into?" Microbrews, by definition, are made locally. Are the beers discussed here imports? |

When one loves beer, the quality isn't an issue. Sure it is nice to drink a good beer, and the local beer ought to be a whole lot better, but the fact of the matter is Korean beer works just fine. |

I agree with those of you who enjoy Platinum. I think it is a great place for beer and I've never been disappointed by the food. I've been there 4 times over the past month or so, and have never had a bad experience. Check it out. |

Yeah, Platinum is great, although I was a little disappointed when I went there the other week. They've done away with cheesy chips |

Has anybody tried the new Cass Red? 6.9 of pure passion, or so the advertising goes. |
