Any help in this would be greatly appreciated!
I recently returned to the States from a 6 month stint in Korea. Unfortunately, things were a little crazy around the time I left, and I didn't have any time to make it to the pension office. I looked over their webpage at the time, though, and it did make allowances for claiming a refund from overseas. So, I thought, "OK, I'll just do that!" Hah!
Now that I'm home, and looking at it more closely, I see that one of the required documents is: "An application of attorney should be notarized from a notary's agency of the country in which you reside and it will be attested by the korea embassy." What????
I don't know exactly what this means, and I can't find any other threads on here that mention it. I really want to claim this money if I can, so all help in deciphering this would be appreciated!
Here is the link to the page that lists the paperwork requirements (overseas claim is at the very bottom):

Here's the link to the Overseas Remittance form, itself:

Another problem I have is that I don't know if I should be filling in the Overseas Remittance form with ME as the Contributor, or the Applicant. Should my school be the Contributor, or should that be left blank? Again, any help in just filling out the form would be sincerely appreciated.
*sigh* Oh, how I wish I'd made the time to just do this in Korea! |
