Speaking of American Idol and how "crap floats", how about the commercials on TV for Simons most recent "boy band" creation, Il Divo? I want to shoot myself everytime I see them on the commercial, spewing their popera "talents". Perhaps they have great voices, but the music is utter shyte.
BTW, I still haven't been able to figure out why Paula Abdul is a judge on that show. She's a dancer/choreographer, NOT a singer. Anyone who has heard any of her albums can attest to how terrible she was. It is also clear that Simon has his head up his rectal cavity as well. |

Simon, the Supportive?
As 'American Idol' judges up the ante with bigger beat downs, a psychology professor says Cowell's cruel commentary might actually be a good thing.
Jan. 19, 2007 - During this weeks premiere of American Idol, viewers cringed as Simon, Randy and Paula doled out harsh criticisms to many of the less-than-worthy contestants. And as contestants cried, screamed and argued with the judges over their cruel remarks, viewers may have asked themselves if the insults had gone too far. Dr. Jennifer Crocker, a professor of psychology at the University of Michigan who focuses on self-esteem issues, says it may have seemed cruel, but at least it was honest. In an interview with NEWSWEEK, she says that in reality, Simons harsh advice may actually have been more compassionate than unconditionally positive reinforcement. Excerpts:

Summertime sounds good on anyone with a decent voice. But yeah I haven't seen her in action though. Seems like Season 2 and 3 weren't as popular as the rest (is it because of the black singers?). |

It's sad that I am about to say this.
Clay Aiken actually lost the game show that is American Idol. |
Yeah I meant to say most popular former idol contestant, he is more popular right now than KC. |
