I really like that song. However, two days before my last hagwon went bankrupt one of the teachers was playing this song to the kids. I felt like dying of laughter inside. It seemed like an episode of the twilight zone.

Just want to say I'm greatly enjoying these little "(OP)" threads you've got going over here in the usually rancorous CE Forum, and I hope they continue.

The posters that 'get it' are of course very funny, but half the fun here is watching other posters stumble in and not get it. Some of them seem to almost intentionally not get it. Too fun.

One thing I've noticed, however, is that the posts by the 'getting it' posters are often extremely... simplistic? I don't mean the ideas, but the writing style. Uncharacteristically simplistic for these posters. Um... okay, I'm not going to go back and quote specific examples, but if you look at the first several posts on this thread, you can see what I'm getting at. It's not as funny when you're so transparently not being serious.

And so I'm wondering if I might prevail upon those posters to possibly tighten it up a bit.

Thank you.

You can't tell us what to do! I, for one, am getting really tired of your smug online persona - give it a break, you non-Canadian, you.

I appreciate and richly deserve that, um... totally called-for smackdown by one of my Canadian superiors. It is indeed a mystery why I persist as I do in running down Canada and every Canadian poster I meet on this board, when as a non-Canadian myself, I actually have no business existing. I can only hope to one day attain the high standards of online discourse as exemplified by the Sons & Daughters of the Great White North. Until then, I shall continue to swig 100% pure maple syrup right out of the bottle and subject myself to the peanut-peltings of RMT in my relentless pursuit of Canucklehead Nirvana (<--not the band) and Eternal Bliss.

Canada, my home and native land, is the only country in the world based on a negative. It came into existance to be not American. If you ask any Canadian what the difference betweeb the US and Canada is, the answer will be we're not American and we have gun control and medicare.

Canada has become a Socialist People's Republic at least until Harper gave us a little hope.

[Socialism is of course a sexually transmitted disease found in the dictionary after Gonorrea and before Syphillus.]

Two days after 9/11 it took the Canadian flag off my pack and put an American one on.

You people are a bunch of small minded, hate filled people, and I pity each and every one of you.

The only way you can make yourself feel better is by hacking someone else.

don't I know it....

unfortunately, the smugness can/is going straight to some people's head; as though it's some kind of entitlement.
