Does anyone know where I can get an Adobe Photoshop program in Korea?
Or for that matter, any other program which makes transparent gif's?

for legit copies go to Yongsan and find any vendor - hell you can even buy it at Kyobo Bookstore if you want.

For other avenues check the guy in the tunnel at Yongsan, use torrents or your favorite p2p.

If you are not comfortable with alternate avenues to photoshop and it is too expensive then I would recommend buying a copy of paintshoppro - it is much more affordable and will do transparent gifs. You can probably purchase and download a copy from the vendor site.

Good luck.

Tomato, you still trying to make those gifs?

Did you see this tutorial?

http://user.fundy.net/morris/?photoshop113.shtml

Buying Photoshop to make transparent gifs is a but of overkill.

Thanks.
I tried following that tutorial,
but I still can't save the image as anything but a psd.
What am I doing wrong?

Tomato, are you sure you are using "Save Optimized As" instead of "Save Optimized?"

I use GIMP. I used the transparency tool to create a wicked blood-spattered UPC code.

Downside is that documentation is not good.
