my planning is belated, i know --

i'm scrambling to put together an afforable lunar new year trip.

anyone know of any decent tour packages to japan? or have a suggestion for a reputable travel agency?

perhaps someone else is in the same boat...located a last minute deal...

it's a long weekend trip. i realize china is out of the question. i want to see as much as asia as possible and i only have a few vacation days, so i'd like to utilize the free days.

any suggestions? |

I was wondering this too... I know that travel in Korea will be next to impossible as it would be necessary to buy any bus or train tickets several months in advance as everyone travels home. It might be possible to take a ferry ride out of Busan, but then I admit, I do not know much as I just have arrived here in Changwon, ROK 2 weeks ago for the 1st time.

Can anyone provide us some suggestions? I think I will also call the 1330 travel info in English phone # too. I saw this commercial on the Arirang TV channel that you can call 1330 for travel info in English for help with finding your way around. Might be a good bet to call it this week and see what we can find out. |

				| Will it be the worth the trouble to travel somewhere within Korea that weekend? As in, would traffic be a hassle/buses too crowded? Will things be closed? |

the advice i received: during holidays, do not travel in korea by bus or car. traffic is double oc: out of control. you'll spend the bulk of two days traveling.

check the train schedule.

i'm still scrambling to book a trip to china. they are still several tour companies that offer reasonably-priced packages. |
