| If any of our parents met a day later or decided to get a coffee first before having sex (the time you were conceived) then we would all not be here. |

But how would you know you aren't here? |

Well, it's sort of a stupid premise to begin with, since there are a million lesser known events/people than Hitler that could have kept any of us from being born, like that cup of coffee or that one-for-the-road.
That said, I, for one, would not mind in the slightest the OP's never having been born if that were the price to pay for Hitler's non-existence on the world stage. Somehow, I, this board, and the world would have muddled through the loss. |

Reminds me of Red Alert
In this game Einstein travels back in time and kills Hitler before his rise to power. Then Stalin invades the whole of Europe.
Our entire existence is based on the survival of some pretty horrendous events in history. Some natural some not. So thank Hitler, The Kaiser, Napoleon, Slavery, The Spanish Inquisition, The Crusades, The Romans, The extinction of the dinosaurs, volcanoes, earth quakes, disease, meteors, comets, and Xenu. |

I guess anything in the past can be linked to your existence.
I always used to give my parents a hard time about our ancestors moronic relocation choices after WW2. After Italy got its butt handed to it my great grandparents and their family all decided to move to new lands...one chose america, one australia, and good ol' Nona and Nano De La Rosa
thought they'd try out their luck in this prosperous land that had really good potential: Peru
Mom and I would always wish they'd gone to Australia or USA instead but I guess if they had then her and me wouldnt be here.
I think another interesting thing is how we meet our significant others. I don't think me and my man could have had any more events transpire on boths sides to have met up in the ROK. |
