So, lets say I'm watching a trailer on apple trailers and I want to save it... how would I go about it?

Anyone know how to save a file that I'm watching in quicktime or windows media player?

A lot of those trailers on the apple site have a save option. The bitch is getting around downloading fucking itunes. But, it's easily done -- just type the address in the bar to go directly to the trailer page (a little logic will give you the address. For example: http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/the40yearoldvirgin/). Then, after quicktime has loaded the trailer, right click on it and select "save as quicktime movie."

It might be easier to install itunes but *beep* me sideways if I'll install that shit on my computer.

If they aren't streaming it, you are in effect downloading it to watch it, so it will be sitting peacefully in your browser cache. Snatch it out of there.

I don't think I have the full version of Quicktime. If I try to save (I can watch fine), it asks me to purchase something.

As for my cache, where can I track that down.

For example, I play a movie off of this site
http://www.empiremovies.com/movie-trailers.php?id=10679&300.htm
in media player, can I not somehow save it after playing?

CC, I took a look at that site. 300 looks incredible. Again I'm struck by how close they came to replicating Lynn Varley's palette.

Anyways, they're streaming the video, which means it's not in your cache. So forget about what I just said.

This link should help you:
