I worked at one in Ulsan. The owner was one of the biggest pricks that I'd ever met in my life. 
The name of the owner was Gwak Hae Bong. If he's the owner, stay as far away as possible.
I don't think it's the franchise that matters, but the guy who runs the location where you're working at. Definitely check it out first, and get all the info from the teachers there. If I ever work in a Korean hogwon again, I'll only work at a large location with plenty (over 6) foreign teachers. Some of them should be in there second contract. That shows that it's a decent enough place for someone to come back for round 2. If a place doesn't have that, I won't even consider it. |
