Sorry, I think there was already a post earlier today about something like this, but could someone please tell me how to write "Shut your f****** dog up at 3 a.m." in hangul? I just walked over to this place across the street and kicked a gate because SOME of us come from places where dogs aren't allowed to bark at all hours of the night and after 45 minutes of consecutive barking it hasn't stopped.
So yah, one request. Shut up your effing dog in hangul please.
Thanks in advance.

Just draw a picture of a dog that is quiet and happy. Next to it draw a picture of a barking dog, then draw a picture of you that is unhappy. At the bottom, draw a picture of you smiling with a gun and a dead dog. Then get a cap gun and whenever the dog is barking, go outside their door and fire off the cap gun a few times.

I mean, these people might be Chinese or Christian refugees from Burma or somewhere, you shouldn't count on them being able to read Korean.

Another option is to pound on their door at 3 am when the dog is barking. When they open the door and the dog runs out, pick it up and tape its mouth shut with duct tape. Then give it back to the owners and go get some sleep.

I too don't understand why people in this country can't import muzzles from China, I mean, they import everything else.

Dude it's 3am, shut up already before I duct tape you and shoot you with a capgun. Your owner needs to learn how to control your yappin!

yeah sock probably had the best advice. Pics r cool n effective.

Anyway.. maybe this will work:

여기 시끄러운 개가 때문에 잠잘 수 없섭니다. 조용하게 해 주세요.
I can't sleep because of this loud dog. Please make it be quiet.

If you want to add a little zing:

아니면 개한테 독을 먹이를 줄겁니다. ^^
Otherwise, I will feed it poison. ^^

Be sure to write the ^^ on there so they know you are still down, even though you don't like their dog.

Thanks Qinella, and to the dude who wrote the picture message, you brightened my tired morning. That was hilarious. I expected to get flamed from people telling me to go home because I'm complaining about a dog barking, but instead got some real help on eslcafe for once. Wicked. The dog is dead. Wink

What was the typo? I eventually managed to fall asleep, but I need to leave a note today so I can sleep tonight. This dog is ridiculous. I think he's got a camera on my pillow because he's always quiet until the moment I put my head down.

That reminds me of a time when I was doing an internship (volunteer sent by CIDA) to teach English in Egypt, and there was this neighborhood dog that just wouldn't stop barking. It really did suck. I sometimes thought about how it would be like if someone poisoned the animal. Of course, it probably wanted attention and dogs do that when they are left alone. Probably, the owners were out partying or enjoying galbi soju and the dog was lonely, so he woke your a** up. I feel your pain because that does suck. Imagine if you also had a rooster in your neighborhood:)

개는 시끄러워서 잠을 잘 수 없습니다. 조용하게 해주면 고맙겠습니다.

Okay I fixed it and changed a little bit. Just copy and paste that, increase the size to your liking, print it out and you should be good to go unless your neighbors are assh*les.

If the dog is outside, take over a bucket of cold water and toss it on the animal. Repeat as necessary every night until barking stops.
