I know all about the evils of hanmail. However I'm in a situation where I need to be able to recieve and respond to emails from random Korean strangers. Hence I'm expecting to recieve emails from hanmail and do not want my replies to bounce. I've signed up for my own hanmail account which was really easy and didn't require an id number, unlike yahoo korea which rejected my foreign id.

Where I'm looking for help is in getting hanmail to forward all mail automatically to my gmail account which I've already set up to send as hanmail (very easy to do). Can this be done? if not, can someone recommend a Korean email provider that will allow foreign registrations and email forwarding.

Thanks for your help.

I checked the GalbiJim wiki first, but there was almost no information about hanmail there. I also crossposted on the GalbiJim forums.

I havent heard of hanmail & gmail blocking each other.

Why not just give out your gmail address?

it's a temporary situation and I don't get much spam at gmail so I'd like to keep it private.

Go to the "mail tab" on Daum and click on 환경설정. Then click on 외부(POP)메일. I've never used this feature before so I don't know if this will work.

I checked that before. I'm pretty sure that is to allow you to recieve other email at your hanmail account.
