purchases.
My website has links to other sites and I want to track those who buy their services so I can get a commision.
Greatly appreciated!

You can't build those kinds of links on your site. Once people leave your site, you can't track what they do, or see, or buy.
Only the "other sites" can do it, by tracking the inbound links and giving you a commission on any sales that happen on their servers. |

| what KoK said - it's called an affiliates program and there are scripts for them available, but they work the opposite of what you are trying to do. |

Right, so I have to talk to my friends about tracking my traffic and then monitoring where it is coming from. What type of costs am I looking at with this?
Could I build affiliate sites and then through the customers traffic, I can monitor their purchases.
What would be easier to do. A or B? |

Take this as an example:
You have a website and there is a link to amazon.com. You join amazons Affiliate Program. You doctor the links in your webpage so that they track customers sent from your website to amazon.com, according to the instructions as defined by amazon.com
You recieve a commision from amazon for all the purchases made on their site.
There are many affiliate programs like this on the web.
See http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join for details of amazons program. |

I have joined affiliate programs and using them....thanks though.
What I mean though is I have a few business's that are giving me commisions for everyone that purchases their products. One site is building an affiliate site for me...which is sweet.
I guess I have to build affiliate sites for me to track stats. |
