So, I need to get a great haircut. I'm a bit new in Korea, so I have no idea where to go. Price is no object. I'll pay whatever it takes for a fabulous doo. Who is the most talented person in Seoul??????? If possible, give me a telephone number and directions.
Thanks |

| Go to Cheongdam Station, then get out exit...er, towards the north. There's a Park Jun place there where the real Park Jun works. He cuts hair there every Wednesday for 110,000 won. The other people that work there are very good too, and a cut is 22,000 won. For a guy that is. |

| I feel quite at ease in the capable hands of the Aveda salon in Express Bus Terminal mall. You'll see it if you're standing by the escalators on the 1st or 2nd floor. There's a girl who translates for the hair dressers, and one young man somehow transformed my wavy hair into glamourous curls using mere scissor power. Awesome. |

| In Korea, two barber poles means the haircut is twice as good. |

I went to Jin Hee at Chanpo a few months back for a cut and definitely would NOT recommend it. I left less than happy with the cut and even less happier with the service. While I was there Jinhee worked on 2 other women at the same time that she was supposed to be cutting my hair and left me several times for 10 minutes at a time in the middle of my cut to work on the other ladies. She then left me in the hands of someone very inexperienced to dry and style my hair. After 25 minutes of her painfully scraping my scalp with her brush (I stopped her several times to let her know she was hurting me), I left looking like I had air-dried my hair.
Also, unless you live in the area, it's a 3200-5200 won cab ride (depending on which subway line you get off at) each way from the subway station. There are buses from the subway, I suppose, but I'm lazy. |

That's unfortunate you had a bad experience there.
In the seven years I've been going there, I've never had a problem.
Toni and Guy is another place you might want to check out. I've never been there but haven't heard anything bad about it. |
