I'm actually looking to run a PS2 emulator on my PC because I really want to play a couple of PS2 titles, has anyone had any luck with emulators?

I use DOS emulation for some really old games. Razz

I heard (read) that many of the console emulators have some serious performance issues. I seriously considered running PS2 emulation, but after reading about the emulators out there, I decided it would probably turn into a headache.

This was all some time ago; perhaps someone optimized some of those programs.

PS1 emulation is pretty advanced. Not nearly as much as SNES or Genesis, but still, most games are fully playable. PS2 emulation... I don't know but initially many thought it would be impossible. I guess you will need luck and a pretty monster system.

I have a gameboy emulator on my box, and a whole mess of games...I've got the whole gig burned to a cd rom, just in case I want to burn a copy for friends. Good stuff...never tried ps2 emulators...I have a ps2 slimboy, but haven't had much time to play it in the past two years, looking forward to finishing European Assualt and starting the other 10 games I bought before we left home.

Its all about MAME arcade emulation. Now I can beat all those quarter eating games that I couldn't afford to as a kid. Nice.
