I've never lived in a big city before. Is this normal? They're everywhere!

As a male I tend to see it as a bonus, but more objectively I think it's just absurd and suspect self-esteem issues.

It looks very very cold. And drafty.

Those short-skirted ladies brighten up my cold winter mornings no end. God bless 'em, I say. God bless 'em!

Mini skirts and high heeled boots must be the way to go.
Even those mukluk looking boots make gals with shorter or stouter legs look hot.

My wife wears short skirts all the time. The trick: stockings. Probably more of them are wearing stockings than you think.

Bah! Everyone know what's under there. Leggings are where they can get creative,
almost individual.

I think the women wear a nude hose that adds a degree of warmth. That the vast majority of women ride the subway and are under observation, this has a way of motivating women to dress up. You'll notice in car cultures, women tend to dress more casually.

My understanding of Korean culture is that if you struck up a conversation with someone on the subway and asked for her number, she would yell "pervert" and call the vice-squad
