This kid did it to me last week. Two days later he touched my butt.

Two days after that he stuck his middle finger against my nose. It smelled like he had just stuck it up his butt. He then tried doing it to another student. I told him to go wash his hands.

What would you have done? Are his parents/parent molesting him?

I would have slapped his hand as hard as I could the first time and saved myself the subsequent grief.

Sounds like a 'smart' teacher got outwitted by some 'dimwitted' little kid.

Oh man...I'd go with the first three above, maybe not in that order.

Seriously - a good dong chimming is a funny thing, but that kid is jockeying for control of the class.

My first kindergarten class actually taught me the 'hands up' routine (seriously, the first time I raised my voice at the most devilish kid in the class he just stuck them up, so I followed his lead). If a couple of minutes with his hands up doesn't do it, toss on a couple copies of Richard Scarrie's picture dictionary. Still doing it? Make him kneel on the desk.

OTL or bust, I say.

Do you remember R_______ saying how a kid had asked her 'What's ddong-chim in Englishee' and she responded 'buggery'?

Nah. Go to the doctor, complain that you can't poop and you'll get it done for $20.

Was teaching camp this week. Anyways this kid (middle school aged) kept doing it to me. I gave him shiat. He did it again. (This is science class and we are launching paper rockets using plastic bottles and PVC pipe).

Anyways I'm holding this piece of pipe about 1m long and tell him "do it again and I'll whack you."

Guess what. The kid must be retarded. He did it again. So I wacked him on the hands with the pipe. The other kids grab him...hold him down and start dong chimming him. One kid grabs the pipe from me and sticks it up his a$$. I gave that kid a couple of stickers on the spot. (30 stickers gets you a prize)

That pipe never smelled so sweet.

It's early and I'm hungover but I'm falling out of bed laughing...what a righteous image...omg that sets the tone for the day.

Does the 'ddong chim' exist in any other country? It's intended to be playful and fun but I hate it. I think it's an insult. Would those little punks ever try it on a Korean? I think not.

I almost broke a kid's hand once after doing that to me. He hated me, but he was a jerk anyway.

Remember: they are so respectful of us waygookin here.

Yeah right.

I tend to agree...I think it's one of those "smile through grit teeth" korean things.
