I wasn't looking for insults either way towards anyone - just wanted to here some stories. I have dated all types in Korea, a Korean American, a Canadian, a local Korean. ( For all those who say I didn't try the Russian women - I lived in Russia and dated there ). I just wanted to know how many actually get together overseas. So all who want to take cracks at me I don't care. I like the western girls (not shallow, they don't worry about make-up and looks 24 hours a day, they can have real conversations, etc. ) I just have one problem - the chip on the shoulder. How to get past that with a girl you like. Is it curable? |

I dunno if I want to answer you man, you disappeared last time for three days. What happened to you?
Taupin / John
Lately I've been thinking how much I miss my lady
Amoreena's in the cornfield brightening the daybreak
Living like a lusty flower, running through the grass for hours
Rolling through the hay like a puppy child
And when it rains the rain falls down
Washing out the cattle town
And she's far away somewhere in her eiderdown
And she dreams of crystal streams
Of days gone by when we would lean
Laughing fit to burst upon each other
I can see you sitting eating apples in the evening
The fruit juice flowing slowly, slowly, slowly
Down the bronze of your body
Living like a lusty flower, running through the grass for hours
Rolling through the hay like a puppy child
Oh if only I could nestle in the cradle of your cabin
My arms around your shoulders the windows wide and open
While the swallow and the sycamore are playing in the valley
Oh I miss you Amoreena like a king bee misses honey
Lately I've been thinking how much I miss my lady
Amoreena's in the cornfield brightening the daybreak
Living like a lusty flower, running through the grass for hours
Rolling through the hay like a puppy child |

Mein freund, there are many Western guys and girls with a chip on their shoulders, but I will tell you I've met a few Western girls who make feel good to have as friends. Some of the women are actually really incredible so maybe you should be open-minded, patient, and don't make so many assumptions about the women. Many of the women can be initially defensive because some of us guys hit on them back home in a crude way (hey, baby, you look so hot, let's beep). I may be exaggerating. I have found that there are plenty of nice Canadian and American women here. There is also a good chance if the girl traveled to Korea that she is kind of open minded and a welcoming person.
Consider that. I consider that. I hope that helps. I am not dating a Western girl, but I have seen many nice ones. The question is getting to know them and finding them. Get to know a bunch of people and hang out where you can find them. |

I am not attacking anyone though. Just want the door to at least be open a bit so to speak. Leave the crap at the door is all I'm saying. |

What exactly do you mean by "chip on the shoulder"? |

I can't see this thread going anywhere good at all, but since the op specifically pm'd me to ask, I'll respond.
I find people generally live up to expectations. If you go into a situation, expecting the other person to be a cool individual, then generally you'll find that they are. On the flip side, if you go into that same situation with the expectation that the other person has a "chip on her shoulder" , then you'll find that too. Bottom line- check your approach. |

And is it any wonder that the authors of that turned out gay? |
