|
|
Quite often I have done the cannonball run in the taxi from Busan to Changwon and the other way and if you have a few friends it is not expensive at all....
Anyway, I will be going from daegu to busan in a couple of weeks in the wee hours of the morning and was wondering how much a taxi is. there will be 4 of us so the cost shouldn't be too heavy I am hoping..
I used to do it 3/4 years ago but it has been a while and I am just seeing what the rate is nowdays...
Anybody done this recently?? |

I take the bus From Changwon to Busan its about 40 minutes and 3.3k.
I think it would be pretty expensive to ride to Daegu from busan. Think about KTX its only 8k and 40 minutes. (Maaybe 13k I forgot.) |

It will be between 3 and 4 in the morning...so the KTX or a bus are out of the question.
I know the buses here like the back of my hand..caught them hundreds of times.
I am thinking about 60 000 won but if there are 4 that breaks down to 15 000 won each...
I used to do a Daegu - Changwon taxi run a couple of times and it only cost 40 000 about 4 years ago so i am wondering if i can still get the same price..... |

I really have no clue, but one thing you might want to consider is --will you find anyone willing to take you unless you pay the guy enough to make it worth his while to drive back to Busan? In a lot of countries that I've been to, you have to pay twice the fare to go out of the way.
Just a thought. |

I have done inter-city taxis in korea(mostly Busan to Changwon) a few times a year at least so that is over 25 times in my time here....
Basically you negotiate a fare with the taxi driver before he takes you..this is always more than what the meter would have read. From Busan to changwon it is 25 000-30 000, depending on my mood and how fussy i want to be....
the taxi driver likes it because it is off the meter so he doesn't have to pay the taxi company their share of whatever is earned so usually they are more than happy to do the inter-city bullet taxi runs.... |

Yeah you're right
Taxi drivers love doing inter-city runs
Outside the 3 bus terminals I frequent they always ask me if I wanna go intercity by taxi
A few months ago I paid 60 000 for a 70 minute trip (intercity) |
