|
|
Ok so I've been trying to figure out how to play Counter-Strike in the pc bangs and just can't figure it out.
I go to "net games" or join a lan game, etc. but it always asks to update the version. When I click ok to update it goes through this process then later says it didn't work.
If is cancel the update it won't work. Everything I try doesn't work, and I've tried several different computers... And the whole time I'm seeing half the other guys in the pc bang playing the game!
I finally got the courage to try and ask the guy at the front (who speaks no English) and he tried to help me and couldn't even do it.
Can foreigners not play the games or something? It's so frustrating! |

you can. Just ask the guys working there that you want to play X game. If they have it, they'll help you load it. If they don't, you'll have to bring your own game in and load it. |

Sounds like the game may not be legit. Steam won't update illegal copies and perhaps that is the case. |

that's what I get for not reading his post entirely. Yes, as demo said, if the game didn't update, it most likely is not legit. |

Aren't you supposed to rent the game CD from behind the counter? The games are installed on the computers but won't be activated unless you put a legit CD of the game in the CD drive. I could be wrong. I haven't been in a PC bang in about 4 years. |

If you want to play online Korean games that need an id number to signup, like Crazy Arcade, then good luck!!! Our id numbers are supposed to work on Korean sites, but they rarely do. And most Korean sites need you to have one if you want to register. |

Are you sure it's Counterstrike? Nowadays, the big popular game is Special Force, which looks a lot like Counterstrike, but it's not. You need to regesiter online with a Korean ID number to play Special Force. Counterstrike is a bit outdated, so a lot of PC bangs don't even know how to update the software. Most people are playing Special Force nowadays. |
