Well I thought I would give Korea another chance. This time I am in Yatap but so far it seems pretty boring. I never see other foreigners. Is anyone else in Yatap? What do you do for fun? Thanks!

Yatap doesn't seem so bad. A couple nice grocery stores. Movie theater. A couple stops to the heart of Bundang, straight run up to Gangnam.

If you're looking for other foreigners, they can usually be found at Dublin's or Monkey Beach at Seohyun Station.

Bundang is not so bad, there are a few fun things to do out there. As mentioned earlier, you can check out the two expat bars there; Monkey Beach is located to the right of Samsung Plaza, in Seohyun Station. Drinks are ultra cheap (1,000 won tequila shots), but it is dark and usually very, very crowded. The Dublin Bar is located to the left of Samsung Plaza and it is foreign-owned (the owner's is named Joe and he is a nice guy). The drinks are a bit expensive, but it's the only place in that area other than Gangnam that sells draft Guiness (9,000 won) as well as DPRK beer (it's not bad). It has a nice mellow social scene. Monkey beach has a more rowdier, noisier dive feel. If you like to bungie jump, ask a taxi driver for Yuldong park. A bungie jump is 25,000 won for a single jump over a large lake. Or you can bike on the Tancheon river all the way to Youido Park (takes about 4 hours). Outside of Seohyun station you can take the 9401, and 9000 buses to get to Jongno, Myeongdong, and Itaewon in 30-45 minutes. Take the 9403 bus to get to Dongdaemun in around the same time. And there are tons of buses to Gangnam and Apgujeong. Have fun, it's a nice place.

Yatab ain't so bad.

Go one station over to hang out with the bumpkins and B-grade gangsters in Moran. There's a farmers market on days ending in 4 and 9,which is Ok-you can buy some dog,get some produce, eat porkbelly with a bottle of soj' thrown in for 5 bucks.

2 stations the other way is Seohyun which was mentioned before.

Yatab has a couple of big supermarkets,a cinema,and-a little known fact-a microbrewery near KEB and Kim's Club. Also an arts centre towards Imae.

And the fire station. There's a really cool fire station.

There is a branch of the Beautiful Store (the second-hand place) there, though.
