I moved to up to Seoul from Pohang earlier this month, but I don't have a job. Well, I do, but it doesn't start till March. I need money. My rent is all paid up in advance, so that's not a problem. But, my saving are shrinking, so I need something short term. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have an F4 visa, so doing this is not a problem legally.
Thanks in advance. |

I'm a Korea newbie but you might want to check out the community section of The Korea Herald ( http://www.koreaherald.co.kr/community/tak_index.asp ). They have various jobs on there and some specifically state that they only want F-series visa holders. I'm not sure if any of them are short term but you can always check.
Also, since you have an F4, you can legally teach privates. I'd have more info on that but I had a question regarding it myself (I have an F4 too) but no one's answered it yet in the Privates sticky.
Good luck! |

Now I feel stupid. I didn't think of the job ads in the newspapers (or their websites). Thanks
About the privates, I've got some, but it's not really enough. Plus, I need a more or less full-day-of-work job. Work helps me sleep. I haven't been sleeping much. |

If you have an F-4, you are korean, don't you have any relatives here that can help you?
I'm guessing you don't read Korean. |

Yeah, I have relatives. But they live in Pohang, which is not alot of help. And I do read Korean, but I haven't found anything suitable, Dave's was just another of the places I've been asking.
Anyway, doesn't matter anymore, coz I'm going back to Australia for a week or two since my mum is sick. |

If you like waking up [early] in the morning, you can do business English classes. A good company would pay anywhere from 45,000won a month to 60,000 won a month.
Don't take any crap about taxes, they don't pay tax so you don't pay tax....
And alot of these jobs are for 3 to 6-month contracts, which is as short as you can get...
But I think if you place an ad in "myenglishjob.com", you can find a temp job much easier, especially if you have an F-visa |
