After much searching and enquiring, I've just found out that I actually live in Okpo. What threw me was that the school's address is in a different town - Shin Hyun-ub. It suddenly dawned upon me last night, as I wondered through what appeared to be the foreigner's district (lots of Western bars, restaurants and people in DSME uniforms). I went to the Geoje Island hotel, and managed to get a basic map - so I know roughly where I am.

This is good news for me, because it means I won't have to get a bus to meet up with everyone - I can walk there, and stagger back!

I learnt a valuable lesson today:

Don't mix Maekju and Soju

my head has finally stopped hurting.
i have been 100% worthless today.
too many different kinds of booze.
btw, i don't remember the circumstances of our parting -- other than that i had a sudden realization that i'd had too much to drink and needed to get home. hopefully i said goodbye.
no money in the wallet when i woke up. did i run out? do i owe anyone money? let me know.
nice meeting you guys, let's do it again sometime -- and i'll try to take it down a couple noches. Wink

vexed -- yes that's a good lesson. i would expand it: don't mix soju, bek se ju, mahkahlee, tequila, jack&cokes (don't remember having that, but i assume i did)...

weninlome -- nice pic. looks more like someone threw the bike at the car. how could that happen otherwise Question Question and, um, the pic is a bit large for an avatar, don't ya think? Laughing

I don't remember much past the JD + Cokes... I think we played pool somewhere?

I think I probably owe you guys a lot of drinks, as I have lots of money left. Yeah should do it again, and I agree - maybe tone it down a bit. I was sick twice today - curse my weak stomach!

I broke my camera Sad which has royally pissed me off - the lens is bust. Anyone know if I can get it fixed and where? I've managed to upload the pictures from last night (not looked at them yet), so I'll post a link to them tommorrow.

Guys

from my hazy recollection, no extras or animals were harmed in the making of our 'staggermentary' ... although I did hear some unusually guttural jungle noise eminating from a dark alley just before Vexed and I returned to rescue his cam from the carvernous clutches of a klepto seat cushion,

hopefully didn't p#ss Hana off too much when I gave the mike a bath in some watery ornament at the chicken,

nice Dylan number too C.O.

.. avatar safely removed!

Beer and soju gives HUGE hangovers to me as well!

But mixing soju and bekseju (wine) makes oh-ship-seju, a light smooth deceptively potent and easy to drink concoction that produces no hangovers no matter how drunk you get (in my experience) as long as beer or hard liquor isn't consumed the same day.

Cynical Optimist can intorduce you to it next time.

"But mixing soju and bekseju (wine) makes oh-ship-seju"

Yeah, think we might have had that... I dunno though, it's all new to me.

But then you threw beer on top of it. That's the problem.

Falling down, though, is a standard response of even the best Korean drunkfest.

Vexed -- that pic is hilarious Laughing nice showing! Actually it scared me at first because I thought it might be me! Anxious to see the rest of the pics. Hopefully nothing too embarrassing in there. Confused

VI -- yeah, we had that o-ship seju. on it's own it was cool, but yeah, mixing it with everything else after was bad bad bad...

weninlome --

hmm...since there were 3 of us, I'm guessing that I might have been the source of the jungle noise??? let me know if i did in fact jinx myself at dinner about not having "gotten sick" in korea yet.
the mic in water? hahaha... in my opinion, that mic was just a prop anyhow. she refused to connect the XLR cable to it for me!
